About Me
I’ve been around photography for most of my life. I picked up my first camera around the age of 14, but it started even earlier than that. My dad was a photographer for a local magazine in Kuwait back in the late ’80s, so there was always a camera around the house. It was just part of growing up. My dad got me my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel XS, for my birthday. That camera really pulled me in. From there, photography stayed with me as a hobby for years. I shot on different systems along the way; Canon Rebel T6, a Nikon D3000, learning by doing and slowly developing my eye. Things rapidly shifted around 2018 when I moved to mirrorless with Sony and picked up an a6300. That’s when I started taking photography more seriously, not just as something I enjoyed, but as something I wanted to grow into. Since 2022, I’ve been shooting on a Sony A7 IV, which is what I use today, though the way I approach photography hasn’t really changed. What’s always mattered to me is the moment itself. I’m drawn to people, to place, and to moments that feel natural and unforced. I care about composition and light, but I care just as much about honesty in the image. As I’m getting closer to 30, it’s interesting to look back and realize how long photography has been part of my life. What started as a hobby turned into something steady and personal. Whether I’m shooting portraits, couples, brand work, or street scenes, I try to keep the process simple and the work grounded in real moments.
